Philip "Pip" Souster

Was born on the 14^thFebruary 1954 to Jack & Dorothy Souster of 124 Walsall Road, Wednesbury, England.

He is an acoustic/electric guitarist, singer songwriter. Who has worked parts of the UK folk circuit and played the country scene. With the early formative years involved with blues & rock music. He has also travelled the UK & Europe as a band front man and as a solo performer.

Over the years he has written songs for childrens productions as well as working in schools with them musically.

Personal

Still living in the Midlands with Dawn, we both met in 1977.Though these days we spend a lot of time in Northern France, retreating to quieter creative surroundings.

Influences

Bob Dylan, Jim Croce, Beatles, Ralph Mctell, Roger Cook, James Taylor, Don Mclean and many more, but these were my early root leaders in lyric and song structure. These days I like a mixed genre from latin, classical, gospel to name but a few.

Technique

Claw hammer guitar style, de tuning methods inspired Pip in younger years through listening to blues players and various folk/country and flemenco players.
